Arcata Bottoms Run 11/14/15

The Arcata Bottoms Run was held on Saturday, November 14th 2015 starting and finishing at St. Mary’s Church in Arcata under near perfect weather conditions. This annual event offered both a 3 and 8 mile Run resulting in 124 finishers in the 3 mile and 48 finishers in the 8 mile. Of course no SRRC Club Run is possible without the effort of our volunteers; so my many thanks to all of those who made this year’s ABR possible: Sherry, Karen B, Mj, Nancy, Jessie, Carolyn, Peter D, Terri & Sandy, Berit, Gary, Ken, Adam, Cindy, Carla, Randy, Yoshi & Alicia, Charlie, Margaret, Jack, Marlene, Yoon and St. Mary’s Parrish. And very special thank you to both Joe B and Paul who were invaluable to me in putting on this year’s ABR; Joe’s assistance on marking the course early Saturday morning and patience with me was beyond the call of duty and Paul was involved in every aspect of the Run from obtaining the permits to setting up the Event Signs to picking up those signs and mile markers when the run was over to finding time to run the 3 mile. So again thanks to everyone from the 172 Runners to the many SRRC volunteers to St. Mary’s Church and see you next year on November 12th 2016… -- Harry Kavich
