Thank you to everyone who came out to race today! This year we moved the race to April after holding it at the end of June in the past. The new date did not seem to hurt the turn out as we ended up with 35 more finishers than we did last year. I was worried that April might bring us rain, but the weather was not much different that the late June weather has been, 57 degrees and overcast, perfect running weather!

Thank you to all of the volunteers. One of the best things about Six Rivers Running Club is how I never seem to lack for helpers. Thanks to Mj, Dawn, and Sherry for taking care of registration, Jill & Willow for hauling tables and water to and from the start, Holly, George, Chaiz, Connor, Paul & Lanore for helping at the finish line taking tags and recording data, and Matthew & his brother, Gary did our timing and helped with set-up, and Katrin was at the turn around with water and encouragement. Finally, to Tracy who ran the race and then assisted at the finish line making sure the “colors” were correctly awarded for the challenge criteria, and Rachel who handed out the pins at the "award ceremony."

If I made a mistake in your "color" category, please let me know and I will fix it in the results. Don't forget to write your time and your challenge on the back of your ribbon. It will give you a great goal to shoot for next year!

Final note... someone left a white crew-neck sweatshirt from an old Avenue of the Giants Marathon. Please let me know if it is yours and I'll do my best to make sure you get it back.
