Rodeo Run 5K & 10K

It was all blue skies and sunshine at the annual Fortuna Rodeo 5K/10K benefit run. Once again the Fortuna Police Department provided a fun, safe, race route down Main Street, Fortuna. With over 120 runners, it was great to see so many new faces and young families participating in this year’s event.

Three local merchant teams registered this year. The undisputed trophy winner, with over 20 enthusiastic participants, was Fortuna Results Fit Camp. Beginning in September of 2006, owner and director, Sandy Aguiar (10K runner) has been encouraging and inspiring locals to achieve a healthier lifestyle. This year's winning team of top five - all males - was led by Jeff Aguiar and were only seconds apart!

The annual benefit run brought in $1,235.00 to be divided between SRRC Relay for Life and Fortuna High Cross Country team.
