Blue Lake Fish Hatchery (West End) Run 12/20/15

After rescheduling due to a flooded section of Hatchery Road on the 13th, we were able to pull off this year’s Blue Lake Fish Hatchery Run without further issue. We enjoyed a brief break from the rain during the 2-mile and only a light shower during the 4-mile. The truly dedicated 50+ runners who participated enjoyed coffee and baked goods provided by amazing club members like Marlene and Harry post race. We had a visit from News Channel 3 and got some good promotional footage and commentary for the club.

Special thanks to the wet warriors who helped pull this year’s run off; my main man Paul K., the cookie baker Harry K., Jack W., the women behind the tables - Karen K., Rachel C., Amy Z., Tanya T. and of course Mj. Special shout out to the three girls in my house who volunteered, ran and helped clean up, you are rock stars!

As always, a big thanks to our club president Gary for his time and energy spent on this event as well as all the others in 2015!
