Thanks everyone for a great Community Forest race, despite a little rain. It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones. I really appreciated all the volunteers; I enjoyed having some different people help out this year as well as some familiar faces. Thanks to Jorge for helping me mark the course at 7:30 am. Jeff, Leslie and Shawn were the trail monitors, they did a great job, and for the first time since I took over directing, nobody got lost! Bob and Gayle did a great job with their water stop. Paul, Gary, Jack and Karen already had the whole finish line set up by the time I got back from marking the course. Cindy, Harry, Tanya and Donna did a seamless job with registration; Gary, Jack, Paul, Jen and Harry manned the finish line efficiently; Holly manned the food table, keeping the food stocked and bananas cut. Yoon took great pictures and was very prompt in putting the results on the website. Thank you all!!! Finally a special thanks to my wife Karen, she helped with many different things in the weeks leading up to the race, baked dozens of cookies, and helped with setup race morning. Then after running a solid race, she re-ran part of the course picking up the trail markings. Thanks everyone for all the help, we couldn’t do these races without all the volunteers!!
