Hammond Trail 3.2M & Half-Marathon

Thank you to all who came out and ran on a wonderful, overcast day.

The ½ marathon course was about right and had no problems. Three mile course that I marked was called 3.2 miles by consensus. I will try to make it more accurate next time.

Five runners have updated all-time top 5 age group list and they are: Jadon Bruckner (Men 0~14), John Milender (Men 15~19), Morgin Coonfield (Women 15~19), Rachel Cardoza (Women 20~29) and Jerry Fowler (Men 70~79). Particular compliments go to Morgin Coonfield, who has smashed previous age group records by more than 14 minutes! This is something we rarely see in the long history of SRRC running records. Please refer to the webpage for the all-time records for each age group.

BIG BIG “Thank You” goes to Gary Timek, Ken Yanosko, Paul & Kelsey Kraus, Harry Kavich, Mj Goble for so many kinds of help including bringing (and returning) tables, chairs, timing clock, traffic signs and other equipment, collecting tags in order, timing, recording neatly, and getting various permits etc etc; to Jason Lewis & Tanya Trump for providing McKinleyville HS runners and parents to guard the course with signs and to give water & cheer to thirsty runners on the course (Mia’s dad, Dan Pambiano; and Joe’s mom, Deanne Rieder), also to Myrna Milender for cutting and displaying watermelon in bite size, to Barry Milender for taking care of traffic signs, and most of all to all the runners, and family and friends who cheered. Without your help and support, it would have been absolutely impossible. Big thanks also goes to the first time runners. See you all again next year.
