2026 Events
- 1st Thurs. {SRRC Race} Resolution Run at the Eureka Waterfront Trail.
{$10 for nonmembers, free for SRRC members} 5K at 10AM; Start is about 200 yards south on the Waterfront Trail and finish at the Del Norte Street Pier parking lot (foot of Del Norte Street in Eureka along the Bay). The race will head south along the Waterfront Trail to the Hikshari' Trail and back.
We offer 5K challenge Criteria Pins (Click here for the criteria) plus commemorative mugs for all active club runners who complete the race in 20:26 or faster! Important: You must be an active SRRC member before the race to receive the pin and/or mug. Pins will be available at the finish line.
Mugs will be available at the annual club membership meeting on Sat., Jan. 10, 2026 (See the details under 1/10/26 below).

- 10th Sat. {SRRC Event} Award, Membership Meeting & Party. {Free for SRRC members} At 3:00 pm. Celebration of running in

- 4th Sat. {not SRRC Race} (13th Annual) 5K Run in the Redwoods. {$50 with shirt (guaranteed by 3/21/26); $25 without shirt registration only; $40 limited-ed shirt only; FREE for kids < age 12 }
Registration 8:30~9:45AM, 5K at 10:00AM (for 7-min milers); 10:15AM (for 7-10 min milers); 10:30AM (for other runners & walkers). Start & finish at the Prairie Creek State Park. All proceeds will benefit Redwood National & State Parks. This race is organized by the
Redwood Parks Conservancy.

- 11th Sat. {SRRC Race for age >= 40} Master's Race.
{$10 for nonmembers, free for SRRC members} 10K at 10AM.
Starts at the north parking lot of Clam Beach. This 10K race is for runners 40 years old and older. It is age graded and your start time is based on your age, with the oldest starting first.
So it will be a "staggered" start, which makes registration in advance required. Free for SRRC members and $10 for non-members (collected when picking up your bib before the run).

of the Giants Marathon. {Fees for all} {USATF certified course}
{RRCA West Regional Championship Marathon}Marathon (at 7:45AM), half-marathon (at 8:30AM)
and 10K (at 8:30AM). Start and finish at Dyerville Bridge.

- 10th Sun. {SRRC Race} 43rd Atalanta's Victory Run and Walk on Mother's Day. {Fees for all}
On Mother's Day Sunday. 2M and 5M at 10:00AM. Start and finish at the Arcata Co-op parking lot. This is a very festive event promoting women's running. The courses are very flat,
running in the Arcata Bottoms, which makes them quite accessible. Click for the

- 31st Sun. {not SRRC Race} 16th Annual Kneeland School Fun Run. {$10 (1 Mile); $20 (5K); $35 (10 Mile run/ride); $45 (25 Mile ride); +$5 (on race day)}
Come out and enjoy this Annual Fun Run. All proceeds support kids at Kneeland School. All races begin at Kneeland School (9313 Kneeland Road, Kneeland, CA) at 9:30AM (25Mile ride) or 10:00AM (10Mile) or 10:30AM (10Mile ride) or 11:00AM (5K & 1Mile).

- 6th Sat. {SRRC Race} 11th Grasshopper Peak Redwoods Run. {Fees for all} 10.5M and 30K at 8AM.
Starts and finishes at the Grasshopper Trail/Bull Creek Road junction, about five miles west of Hwy 101 heading towards Honeydew
within Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Parking at Albee Campground. Both races are on very hilly trails. T-shirt guaranteed
if registered by May 1. Due to the remote nature of this race, participants are required to carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations. Cups will not be provided on the course.

Prairie 2M / 6.2M. {$10 for nonmembers, free for SRRC members} 2M and 6.2M at 10AM. (No walkers for 6.2M
Please.) Please show up AT LEAST 20~30 MINUTES early to register. Start and finish at the north parking lot of the Clam Beach Frontage Road. 10K has scenic views, a tough hill in the first mile,
and a flat-fast last mile. The 2M goes along the Frontage Road.

10K+ at 9:00AM & 2-Mile at 9:30AM. Start and finish at Arcata Community Forest. Kevin Ebbert died in Afghanistan while serving.

- 1st (? TBA) Sun. {SRRC Race} Blue Lake Fish Hatchery Run.
{$10 for nonmembers, free for SRRC members}
{USATF certified course} 2M at 9:30AM and 4M at 10AM.
Registration at 8:00~9:15AM. Start and finish at the Mad River Fish Hatchery.
Registration will take place at the parking lot of the Mad River Fish Hatchery in Blue Lake, at the end of Hatchery Road.
There is plenty of parking in the Hatchery parking lot, as well as on Hatchery Road. However, the parking lot will be closed to vehicles entering/exiting 9:00~10:30AM, please arrive early, or park on Hatchery Road and walk in.
Hatchery Road will also have some areas designated as no-parking, please comply with all posted signage.
